Whereas Cooperatives bring people together in a democratic and equal way, competencies to run those primary businesses are equally needed to become sustainable. Tackling those education and training based challenges in rural Counties, DGRV e.V. https://www.dgrv.coop/project/kenya/ alias German Kenyan Cooperative Development in collaboration with the Kenyan Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development in the Counties of Kericho and Narok.

INNOVATION

Our partner, Kipkelion Youth Service Cooperative (KYSC), is a youth cooperative society that is finding innovative ways of doing business in the local hospitality Industry. Its main objective is to promote its youthful members through economic participation.

INCLUSION

FLEP-Coop is a mentorship program for Female Leaders in Co-operative organizations in Kenya under the DGRV* Project in Kenya which is financed by BMZ*. It is supported by the State Department of Co-operatives, co-operative organizations around the Country and project partners of DGRV Kenya.

SUSTAINABILITY

SACCOs in Kenya play critical role in mobilizing savings from the members. At the same time, these SACCOs offer loans to members at competitive interest rates in the background of other more favorable terms and conditions. Hence, deposits and loans portfolios …

DIGITALIZATION

DGRV Kenya is proud to announce another new milestone in the era of modern Co-operative learning in Kenya! We have launched the “Co-op Basics Online Course” – a teaching app which enables Co-operators nationwide to enhance their Co-operative know-how anywhere anytime from their smartphones.
